Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve software features within existing systems.
- Apply computer science and engineering fundamentals to break down problems and evaluate solutions with guidance.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using established best practices.
- Create and run unit and basic functional tests.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving sessions.
- Troubleshoot bugs and technical issues with increasing independence.
- Use development tools, version control, and testing frameworks in daily work.
- Document technical decisions and learnings.
- Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders to turn requirements into working solutions.
- Continuously develop software engineering skills through mentorship and hands-on work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience through internships, apprenticeships, bootcamps, open-source work, or personal projects.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals.
- Experience with at least one programming language and version control such as Git.
- Familiarity with testing, build tools, and team development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and desire to grow as an engineer.
- Exposure to Agile or iterative development environments is preferred.
- Experience working in shared codebases through coursework or projects is preferred.
- For US-based roles, current authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship is required.
