Responsibilities
- Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize them for end-user value.
- Design and implement scalable software and reusable services across Anduril product lines.
- Develop software running on and off robotic platforms for autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command and control.
- Design and execute development processes covering delivery, lifecycle testing, monitoring, operation, and sustainment.
- Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and analyze remotely deployed software systems.
- Act as technical owner for software services, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmap management, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
- Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentoring other engineers.
- Travel to co-locate with end-users or other teams up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains or technologies of expertise.
- Systems or application programming skills in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work across the software stack and through the full lifecycle from design and implementation to operation and sustainment.
- Ability to own a software service technically, including requirements definition, roadmap management, stakeholder engagement, implementation, and evolution.
- Ability to learn and grow while effectively mentoring junior team members.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience delivering military mission systems.
- Preferred experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, or Go.
- Preferred experience writing frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- Preferred experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies, embedded robotics software, modeling and simulation, high-assurance safety-critical software, and product delivery through manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts.
