Responsibilities
- Design and implement sensor processing pipelines for sonar, radar, and EO/IR.
- Build object detection, classification, and multi-target tracking systems for maritime situational awareness.
- Develop mission objective decomposition, resource allocation, constraint satisfaction, and scheduling systems.
- Build operator-facing planning interfaces and behavior execution software for autonomous maritime missions.
- Develop real-time decision-making, contingency handling, failure response, and mission-state management systems.
- Integrate mission systems with platform control, perception, and vehicle systems.
- Characterize and improve system performance against operational requirements.
- Support testing and field deployment of mission capabilities.
Requirements
- Require 7+ years of experience in autonomous systems software, robotics, perception, or real-time systems.
- Require experience building software for field-deployed autonomous systems.
- Require depth in at least one of perception, mission planning, or runtime mission execution, with working knowledge of the others.
- Require proficiency in real-time software development and complex production-system state management.
- Require the ability to translate operational mission requirements into software requirements and drive measurable performance improvements.
- Require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Require the ability to receive, process, and disposition encrypted data.
- Preferred qualifications include maritime or underwater autonomy, sonar or radar signal processing, autonomous behavior frameworks, ROS or equivalent robotics middleware, planning or scheduling algorithms, military C2 software, and defense applications experience.
