Base Salary
$70k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, cloud-native AWS serverless applications and event-driven microservices for real-time payment processing.
- Build integrations for Real-Time Payments, SWIFT, ACH, Open Banking, and ISO 20022 payment ecosystems.
- Implement secure REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, payment orchestration, and transaction lifecycle management.
- Optimize services for high availability, active-active architectures, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, scalability, and sub-second performance.
- Drive the software development lifecycle, including requirements translation, technical specifications, coding, testing, documentation, maintenance, and release management.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using GitHub Actions and AWS CDK.
- Manage source repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, version controls, and release governance.
- Provide production support, incident resolution, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, observability, and problem management.
- Apply security, logging, error-handling, performance, regulatory, and risk-management standards.
- Evaluate new technologies and support resiliency, chaos engineering, and AI-assisted engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of software development and relevant experience, with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of AWS cloud development experience and 2 years of serverless architecture experience.
- Experience with financial services, payments, fintech, or banking environments.
- Experience building event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and mission-critical high-volume transaction systems.
- Strong experience with AWS serverless services, Python, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2, JWT, microservices, and databases.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, branch protection, pull request reviews, CI/CD automation, and AWS CDK.
- Preferred experience includes Real-Time Payments, ISO 20022, Open Banking APIs, payment hub platforms, PCI-DSS compliance, resiliency, and chaos engineering.
- AI-related preferred experience includes OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding, AI-powered testing, code review automation, and AI-based payment operations.
- AWS Certified Developer Associate and GitHub Foundations certifications are required; AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, GitHub Actions, and AWS AI Practitioner certifications are recommended or required as specified.
