Responsibilities

  • Improve MongoDB networking and observability functionality and code.
  • Lead medium-sized networking or observability projects from technical design through delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and cross-team stakeholders across ideation, requirements gathering, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Contribute production code, fix release bugs, review code, and participate in new-feature design.
  • Improve networking stack performance, availability, and scalability and enhance observability using open frameworks.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience building production-level code, with C++ experience required.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design and architecture.
  • Interest in networking, observability, computer architecture, and system internals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
