Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend services and standardized cloud-native APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, OpenShift, AWS, and API Gateway.
  • Estimate and scope solutions that meet business requirements and assist with incorporating them into solution architecture documents.
  • Ensure integrated environments support high availability, efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Provide input into technical infrastructure design and develop proofs of concept and development templates.
  • Collaborate across multiple projects and with global Citi teams while promoting teamwork and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of software development experience, with a focus on API and services development.
  • Experience with one or more of Spring Boot, Apache Camel, OpenShift, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with an API gateway such as Apigee.
  • Experience with JSON, XML, YAML, XSD, XSLT, and XPath.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or JMS is desired.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles, with the ability to multitask across projects.
  • Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, accountability, and relationship-building skills.
  • Finance-domain experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to collaborate with the global Citi team.
