Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management, professional services, QA, and engineering teams to deliver product features.
- Design, develop, debug, test, review, and deliver software throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Build new features and implement bug fixes and application changes for global rail customers.
- Own product functionality end to end, including technical design, coding, and feature reviews.
- Work across the frontend and backend stack using test-driven development and unit testing.
- Provide supervision, coaching, guidance, and mentorship to software engineers and junior team members.
- Translate user and business requirements into technical solutions and contribute to scalable, performant, and reliable applications.
- Travel internationally to customers and other Kaleris offices when required.
Requirements
- BE, BTech, MCA, or MSc IT with 5 to 7 years of experience.
- High proficiency in Java and a solid understanding of full-stack development.
- Experience with Git, TeamCity, and Jenkins.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, and enterprise application architectures.
- Understanding of application scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with test-driven development, JUnit, and Easymock.
- Experience with relational database modeling and queries.
- Experience with Hibernate and Spring.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, iterative programming environment.
