Base Salary
$145k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale Go services for agent quoting, configuration, and application-submission tools.
- Partner with App and Checkout teams on tightly coupled product surfaces.
- Provide architectural leadership by proposing technical direction for the team.
- Resolve partner-specific edge cases as distribution partners and usage scale.
- Write unit and integration tests and conduct peer code reviews.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor in daily engineering workflows.
- Transfer knowledge and mentor a team with a high contractor ratio.
- Encourage automation, CI/CD, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend software development experience.
- Professional experience with Go and the ability to own services end to end.
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices and API design using REST, gRPC, OpenAPI, or Protocol Buffers.
- Experience using Docker for local development and practicing CI/CD.
- Demonstrated day-to-day fluency using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT in real engineering work.
- Ability to step into architectural and mentorship gaps without requiring a formal title.
