Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Optimize and improve a complex, real-world system used daily by operators.
- Travel to international operations centers to understand system functionality.
- Become the go-to expert on the existing flight software stack.
- Support triage and risk assessment of emergent technical issues.
- Lead new projects to drive operations efficiency and increase system robustness.
- Drive data-driven analysis of system behavior using tools like Databricks.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.
- Identify, document, and drive improvements to the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate across teams to shape the strategic software roadmap.
- Design and execute high-impact testing campaigns in real-world conditions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in embedded software development or similar fields.
- Proficiency in strongly typed languages such as Rust, C++, or C.
- Familiarity with software development practices including version control and CI/CD.
- Ability to analyze field performance data and develop analysis tools in Python, SQL, or MATLAB.
- Willingness to work nights/weekends and travel internationally as needed.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
