Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own gRPC services in C++ for web products.
- Integrate CAM/CAD libraries into web services in collaboration with product engineering.
- Deploy and operate C++ services in the cloud using DevOps practices.
- Set and elevate code standards and engineering practices.
- Engage in peer review and establish shared software engineering standards.
- Share C++ knowledge with the team and help others improve.
- Adapt quickly and ship fast in an early-stage environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience with modern C++.
- Strong systems programming fundamentals including memory management and multithreading.
- Experience building C++ web services and owning gRPC services.
- Familiarity with API design (RPC, REST, or GraphQL).
- Experience leading teams or building open-source C++ libraries.
- Familiarity with CMake and C++ package managers like conan2 or vcpkg.
- Understanding of cloud providers and containerized deployment solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps/SRE principles and tools like git and docker.
