Base Salary
$176k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance distributed, event-driven microservices and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Define, decompose, and lead delivery of complex backend systems, database schemas, and API contracts.
- Integrate AI models, streaming data pipelines, and telemetry systems to automate workflows.
- Conduct code and design reviews and write automated unit and integration tests.
- Own domain architecture, service reliability, documentation, and systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver API integrations and resolve systemic bottlenecks.
- Mentor engineering peers and serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience; candidates with 3+ years of fast-tracked execution are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Go or Java, with Python experience highly valued for data pipelines and AI/LLM integrations.
- Strong understanding of API design, microservices, data architecture, event-driven systems, and message brokers such as Kafka.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native microservices on AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills and empathy for engineering peers and real estate users.
