Base Salary
$217k - $303k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and iOS, Android, and web engineers to translate user and business needs into reliable technical solutions.
- Own the full software lifecycle for major product initiatives, including technical design, API contracts, development, testing, rollout, and observability.
- Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments using behavioral, conversion, and retention metrics.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and distributed backend services optimized for consumer applications.
- Improve engineering practices and developer workflows while mentoring teammates and supporting cross-functional alignment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on backend development experience building and operating large-scale distributed serving systems in high-concurrency environments.
- Proficiency in Go or Python, or comparable experience with Java, Kotlin, Rust, or C++.
- Expertise designing and maintaining scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC for mobile and web applications.
- Experience with high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores such as Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience or interest in AI-assisted engineering tools and a track record of cross-functional collaboration, experimentation, and technical leadership.
