Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution for multiple teams and backend/platform product areas across cloud and on-premises deployments.
- Own the technical roadmap and architectural integrity of backend services and data-processing workflows.
- Improve engineering excellence through documentation, code review, secure coding, testing, observability, architecture standards, and CI/CD practices.
- Partner with product, UX, architecture, cross-functional teams, and customers to resolve complex production issues and deliver platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and lead design sessions and architecture reviews.
- Build expertise in product architecture, deployment models, and real-world operating environments to advance platform evolution and customer value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
- At least 4 years of experience developing software for distributed systems and databases and performing query optimization.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- At least 4 years of experience with Python, Go/Golang, and SQL.
- At least 2 years of experience using AI tools such as Claude or Codex to improve development and testing efficiency.
- Preferred qualifications include 4+ years writing production code; 3+ years with performance benchmarking tools such as WPT; 3+ years with search technologies, data processing, or query execution; and experience with Splunk Query Language, C++, TypeScript, or Cypress.
- Preferred experience includes architecting and maintaining high-traffic distributed systems, driving technology innovation, and addressing technical debt.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional platform leadership skills are preferred.

- The stated starting salary range is $167,700.00 to $245,200.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
