Senior Software Engineer
AlphaSenseResponsibilities
- Deploy production-grade solutions based on large language models.
- Fine-tune and adapt state-of-the-art LLMs for specialized data extraction tasks.
- Develop prompt engineering strategies and systems to improve reliability and performance on confidential business documents.
- Solve engineering challenges in LLM systems, including high latency and nondeterministic outputs.
- Implement and scale high-volume data processing pipelines for complex documents.
- Integrate and manage LLM observability to trace, debug, and monitor extraction processes.
- Own systems end to end, including design, coding, monitoring, testing, CI/CD, and on-call support.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a software engineer, primarily using Python.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying applications that use large language models.
- Experience extracting structured JSON from text with LLMs and a deep understanding of prompt engineering.
- Proficiency with classic NLP libraries for named entity recognition, text classification, and preprocessing.
- Experience with LLM tracing, debugging, and evaluation platforms such as Langfuse.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant AI or machine learning-focused field is ideally preferred, with equivalent industry experience considered.
- Experience with asynchronous processing of data at scale and familiarity with cloud systems, microservice architecture, caching, and queuing are preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, version control systems, and CI/CD is preferred.
- Experience extracting data from domains such as financial reports or news is preferred.
