Responsibilities
- Install, configure, deploy, maintain, and administer on-premises data platform components.
- Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity, resource utilization, and overall health.
- Support data platforms running on VMware-based infrastructure across Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Integrate platform configurations and deployment processes with Git-based version control.
- Integrate data platforms with enterprise security solutions including IAM and PAM.
- Perform maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Resolve platform, infrastructure, deployment, configuration, storage, network, and integration issues.
- Support containerized platform components using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Network, and Application teams.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Platform Engineering, infrastructure, or Platform Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience installing and configuring data platform components in on-premises environments.
- Strong platform administration experience.
- Experience with VMware-based infrastructure and Git integration.
- Experience integrating platforms with IAM and PAM solutions.
- Knowledge of deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Understanding of infrastructure, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and security concepts for enterprise data platforms.
- Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Experience with MinIO, Apache Iceberg, Starburst, Dremio, Apache Spark, or Informatica is good to have.
- Understanding of modern Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures is preferred.
