Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native architectures.
- Create and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, reusable platform modules, automation, and deployment tooling.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support reliable release, deployment, and environment-management strategies.
- Implement monitoring, observability, alerting, logging, distributed tracing, dashboards, reliability metrics, and engineering KPIs.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, preventative actions, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Implement cloud security, IAM, network security, secrets management, encryption, compliance controls, DevSecOps practices, and vulnerability remediation.
- Design high-availability, disaster-recovery, business-continuity, automated-remediation, and operational-governance solutions.
- Drive cloud cost optimization, FinOps initiatives, tagging strategies, consumption governance, and cloud financial reporting.
- Support cloud migration initiatives, AWS account onboarding, platform transformations, reusable components, self-service capabilities, and developer enablement.
- Create technical designs, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, runbooks, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with software engineers, technical leads, architects, product teams, and operations teams while sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and operating AWS cloud-native architectures and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, source control, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Strong experience with observability and monitoring platforms including CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and ELK.
- Experience with SLI, SLO, SLA management, production troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative reliability measures.
- Good experience with Linux administration, networking, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, CDN, load balancers, reverse proxies, and TLS/SSL certificates.
- Good experience with AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, and PrivateLink.
- Experience developing infrastructure automation with Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, RBAC, least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, AWS Security Hub, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with DevSecOps, automated security controls, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, threat modeling, and cloud security tooling.
- Experience supporting microservices and distributed architectures, high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and automated remediation workflows.
- Experience with FinOps, Cloudability or similar cloud financial management platforms, tagging strategies, governance, and cloud consumption optimization.
- Experience with cloud migration, AWS platform transformation, reusable platform components, self-service tooling, developer enablement, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of cloud platform services, release management, deployment strategies, and environment management.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub; strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, autonomy, and continuous-learning skills.
