Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure in a primarily AWS-based multi-cloud environment.
- Automate threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations workflows.
- Architect and secure CI/CD pipelines by integrating SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling.
- Operate and secure Kubernetes-based container environments from registry through runtime.
- Lead security and reliability incident response and conduct blameless post-mortems.
- Implement automated technical controls for FedRAMP, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance.
- Mentor engineers and champion operational excellence and security ownership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive technology experience, including at least 5 years in a senior hands-on SRE, DevOps, or Security Engineering role.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Expert proficiency with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS, and its infrastructure and security services.
- Expert proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Expert proficiency in Python, Go, Ruby, or another scripting or programming language, with experience building automation and custom tooling.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes, containerization, orchestration, and container security.
- Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability-scanning technologies.
- Experience integrating SAST, DAST, and SCA security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in high-pressure production environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration, and fluency in English.
- Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or cloud-specific security certifications are preferred.
- Experience with FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 compliance frameworks is preferred.
