Responsibilities
- Design and implement an end-to-end automated QA pipeline from deployment-triggered testing through defect detection and quality report generation.
- Build regression test automation frameworks from scratch or substantially extend existing foundations.
- Integrate automated testing into Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop test scripts and automation tooling for web systems and mobile applications on iOS and/or Android.
- Explore AI-driven test-case generation and self-healing automation scripts.
- Lead technical decisions on QA automation strategy and tool selection as the team’s Tech Lead.
- Establish automation best practices, mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, and drive knowledge sharing with Japan and India QA teams.
Requirements
- Production-scale hands-on experience designing and building test automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Playwright, WebDriver, Autify, or equivalent.
- Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience developing automation scripts and tooling in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or equivalent.
- Practical experience with AI-driven test automation, including automated test-case generation or self-healing scripts.
- At least 5 years of experience leading end-to-end QA projects as an independent third-party QA or validation function, covering test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
- QA experience with web systems and mobile applications on iOS and/or Android.
- Business-level Japanese proficiency is preferred for team communication, product specification reviews, and Japanese documentation.
- Hands-on experience building deployment-triggered QA automation pipelines, ISTQB Foundation Level or above certification, Docker or containerization knowledge, Agile/Scrum experience, FinTech or payment-services QA experience, mentoring experience, and stakeholder presentation experience are desirable.
