Responsibilities
- Architect scalable backend and infrastructure services for Pika’s products.
- Design and optimize the core execution loop for agent reasoning and tool-use.
- Own and scale real-time messaging infrastructure and event-driven architectures.
- Implement optimizations for LLM integrations and multi-provider model routing.
- Design memory and retrieval systems for autonomous agents.
- Drive database modeling, API design, and production reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and write RFCs to drive technical excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with production services.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLM-based orchestration or multi-agent systems.
- Deep proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js, Python, and Go.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Solid grasp of LLM capabilities and prompt engineering.
- Experience designing real-time streaming pipelines and concurrent networking.
- Ownership mentality with strong communication and collaboration skills.
