Base Salary
$150k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build services that manage agent execution and long-running workflows.
- Design reliable backend systems and internal APIs for product and AI engineers.
- Develop models for persistence, retries, and recovery in distributed systems.
- Manage containerized workloads in Kubernetes environments.
- Create metrics and debugging tools to enhance system reliability and observability.
- Facilitate design discussions around runtime architecture and operational tradeoffs.
- Turn prototypes into durable systems by clarifying boundaries and hardening critical paths.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience in backend or distributed systems.
- Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, and concurrency.
- Experience with production services emphasizing reliability and observability.
- Knowledge of distributed state management and failure modes.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized systems.
- Familiarity with production data systems like Postgres or Redis.
- Proven track record in designing user-friendly APIs and abstractions.
