Base Salary

$180k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Talk directly to users to understand requirements, build requested functionality, gather feedback, and iterate.
  • Craft delightful product interactions.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the core product and engineering foundations.
  • Add database indexes and build internal tooling to support product features and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and share learnings openly.
  • Share and promote work publicly on platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
  • Take on additional work needed to move the company forward or keep operations running.

Requirements

  • Experience building 0-to-1 products as a founder or early engineer at a funded startup.
  • Hands-on experience with the latest AI models, including understanding model capabilities and behavioral nuances and prompting models effectively.
  • Data science experience, particularly with clustering and anomaly detection.
  • Clear and thoughtful communication on technical and strategic topics, with strong opinions and willingness to share them.
  • Well-crafted, tasteful design work examples.
  • Bonus: experience with programming-language tooling such as compilers, parsers, or indexers, including LLVM, tree-sitter, or SCIP.
  • Bonus: experience with type systems, including TypeScript or Sorbet.
