Base Salary
$162k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a long-term technology stack with well-defined APIs.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to develop product features.
- Integrate with third-party vendors and payment networks for chargeback defense.
- Develop and iterate on dispute and chargeback mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and enhance the quality and observability of risk systems.
- Work with other engineering teams to improve technical processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a backend software engineer in Payments/Fintech.
- Proficient in at least one major programming language, preferably Java/Kotlin/Python.
- Exposure to architectural patterns of large web applications.
- Passion for delivering products from ideation to implementation.
- Commitment to high code quality and automated testing.
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with experimentation and machine learning techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience in fraud detection in the payments domain is a plus.
