Responsibilities
- Write code and build products used by millions of learners and teachers.
- Contribute to projects involving learning tools, classroom features, user interfaces, mobile experiences, and educational content.
- Learn and use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and testing while reviewing and validating generated code.
- Learn new technologies with guidance and mentorship from engineering colleagues.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029, as a rising junior or senior.
- Have at least one previous software internship experience.
- Be available to start in May or June 2027 and commit to 10–12 weeks.
- Be able to work or live in the United States or Canada for the internship duration.
- Demonstrate cross-cultural competency, strong communication, empathy, thoughtfulness, and eagerness to learn.
- Be motivated by Khan Academy’s mission to provide free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.
