Base Salary
$171k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build working proof-of-value solutions in prospect data and systems during technical sales cycles.
- Partner with Account Executives, finance teams, IT teams, and controllership leaders on discovery, architecture, security reviews, integrations, RFPs, and ROI cases.
- Architect and deploy customer-specific AI Agent configurations for complex accounting processes.
- Review and edit Python, write SQL, troubleshoot integrations and data flows, and optimize SQL validations and API-driven workflows.
- Maintain customer SLAs, document issues, and escalate engineering problems with complete context.
- Lead customer transformation engagements, implementations, training, workflow redesign, adoption, renewals, and expansion conversations.
- Provide technical feedback and integration requirements to Product Management and Core Engineering.
- Create implementation guides, expansion frameworks, and reusable deployment assets.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for technical evaluations, deployments, training, and adoption workshops.
Requirements
- 5 to 10+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable hands-on customer-embedded engineering role.
- Deep experience with agentic AI workflows, including LangChain, LangGraph, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, RAG, vector stores, and hybrid retrieval.
- Experience with LLMs and tooling such as OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and prompt engineering.
- Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong technical fluency, customer troubleshooting ability, deployment management experience, and collaboration skills with Product Managers and Engineers.
- Ability to build proofs under sales-cycle pressure and operate those systems reliably in production.
- Ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate with engineers, executives, CFOs, Controllers, and accounting leaders.
- Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and ability to work under delivery and revenue pressure.
- Preferred experience in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, fintech, ERP, accounting, or a relevant industry vertical.
- Prior multi-month customer-site deployment experience is preferred; non-traditional backgrounds including veterans, management consultants, competitive programmers, and PhDs are welcome.
