Base Salary
$115k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud resources, distributed computing systems, and data storage solutions for AI/ML workflows.
- Collaborate with scientists and software and infrastructure engineers on infrastructure requirements for model training, testing, and deployment.
- Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of AI/ML infrastructure.
- Optimize infrastructure performance, resource utilization, caching, data preprocessing, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure encryption, access control, vulnerability management, security, and compliance standards across the infrastructure stack.
- Troubleshoot proof-of-concept and production deployment issues and implement risk-mitigation solutions.
- Advise customers and partners on advanced GPU solutions, cloud migration, Oracle Cloud value, and successful deployment architectures.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, core engineering teams, and support.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Coordinate moderately complex tasks and projects, provide technical oversight, and prioritize work across initiatives.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, contribute to process improvements, and participate in candidate interviews and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools such as Slurm and PBS for distributed systems.
- Strong Linux administration skills across Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian, including package management, shell scripting, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- Preferred proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, Java, or Scala.
- Preferred experience designing and managing infrastructure for AI/ML or HPC workloads and strong experience with high-performance computing and GPU systems.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Prometheus is preferred.

- US hiring range is $114,600 to $234,600 per annum, with potential bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
