Responsibilities
- Drive draft solution design during opportunity quotation and RfX phases.
- Serve as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with German automotive customers, including technical communication in German and travel to customer locations.
- Map stakeholder requirements to system requirements and manage software requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Develop static and behavioral system views and define interfaces under given requirements.
- Select appropriate products and technologies to address customer problems.
- Own technical quality, cost-effectiveness, and solution accountability from bidding through execution, go-live, and handover to maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, coaching, and timely decision-making across teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Proven experience in software architecture and technical leadership, including guidance for engineers.
- Experience with software requirements elicitation, analysis, and management.
- Hands-on experience with production deployments and designing, delivering, and scaling complex solutions.
- Experience debugging in embedded environments including QNX and Linux, and on the Android Automotive OS infotainment platform.
- Experience with automotive ADAS/AD, navigation, and AI integration solutions.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native design, security-first design, and domain-driven design.
- Excellent written and verbal English and German communication skills, including business proficiency in German.
- Ability to work across teams, manage cross-functional issues remotely, communicate across time zones, and travel regularly in Germany and abroad.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication abilities.
- Pre-sales experience is preferred.
