Responsibilities
- Drive solution design during the opportunity quotation phase.
- Identify products and technologies that address customer problems.
- Serve as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with German automotive customers through technical communication and customer-site travel.
- Map stakeholder requirements to system requirements.
- Develop static and behavioral system views and define system interfaces.
- Make timely technical decisions and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Own the technical quality and cost-effectiveness of solutions from bidding through execution, go-live, and maintenance handover.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and coaching to engineers and colleagues.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Proven experience in software architecture and technical leadership.
- Experience eliciting, analyzing, and managing software requirements.
- Experience guiding and providing leadership to engineers.
- Experience debugging embedded environments including QNX, Linux, and Android Automotive OS.
- Experience with ADAS/AD, navigation, and AI integrations and solutions.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud-native design, security-first design, and domain-driven design.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and remote issue-management abilities.
- Business proficiency in German and excellent written and verbal English and German communication skills.
- Availability to travel regularly in Germany and abroad and communicate across time zones.
- Experience in pre-sales is a strong plus.
