Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and enhance frontend and backend components of the AuthBlue SSO platform.
- Implement product features, application integrations, technical enhancements, and defect resolutions.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, services, integrations, and data access components for authentication, authorization, identity, and SSO capabilities.
- Write readable, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code using Git-based workflows, code reviews, and established engineering practices.
- Participate in requirements refinement, technical design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, production support, and other software development lifecycle activities.
- Apply secure software development practices involving authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, sensitive data protection, and vulnerability remediation.
- Troubleshoot frontend, backend, API, integration, and supporting-service issues to identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and software delivery practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity teams, product partners, and business stakeholders to deliver authentication and identity security solutions.
- Create technical documentation and participate in Agile activities, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, or comparable education and professional experience.
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience, including possible internships, co-ops, or substantial project experience.
- Working knowledge of Java and experience or familiarity with Spring Boot.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, including experience with Node.js.
- Experience with Git, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP, JSON, client/server architecture, and application integration concepts.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including basic data modeling, querying, and application integration.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, error handling, asynchronous programming, and automated testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications across frontend and backend components.
- Basic understanding of application security and IAM principles, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, Agile development, and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to write maintainable code, incorporate code review feedback, collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, solve problems, and learn unfamiliar technologies.
- Preferred experience with IAM, authentication, authorization, SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect.
- Preferred experience with Vert.x, React, cloud platforms, Docker or containers, Kubernetes, application monitoring, or observability tools.
- Relevant certifications in software development, cloud technologies, application security, IAM, or cybersecurity are preferred but not required.
