Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own end-to-end software components and systems.
- Build highly available and high-performance systems using appropriate frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Create and review design and architecture documents and contribute to the evolution of software products.
- Evaluate new tools through proofs of concept and improve engineering team practices and efficiency.
- Identify and promote frameworks, methodologies, and best practices across software engineering.
- Collaborate with product leads and stakeholders across Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Trading.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience developing with an object-oriented language such as Java or C++.
- Excellent command of at least one programming language and strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Good knowledge of the Linux environment.
- Hands-on frontend development experience with modern frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular.
- Understanding of multi-tier web applications and, preferably, experience across all application layers.
- Understanding of big data technologies and distributed systems is preferred.
- Understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is preferred.
- Hands-on product development experience using Java or Kotlin and good understanding of microservices architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants.
