Base Salary

$192k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end AI-powered product features across React/TypeScript UI and Node.js/Python backend systems.
  • Translate RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and structured reasoning into intuitive compliance-product interactions.
  • Define API contracts and output schemas with AI Engineers and identify where model outputs fail for users.
  • Build feedback loops that capture AI output quality signals and make them actionable for the AI team.
  • Instrument AI features with product-level observability and create integration and end-to-end tests across the full stack.
  • Establish reusable streaming hooks, feedback components, and AI state-management patterns.
  • Mentor engineers newer to AI product development and participate in engineering and product design reviews.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping full-stack production features.
  • 2+ years of experience working on AI-powered product features.
  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, including responsive interfaces handling asynchronous, streaming, and real-time data.
  • Solid Python and Node.js skills and experience designing and consuming APIs integrating with LLM providers, orchestration frameworks, or AI services.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic, prompt engineering, context management, RAG, quality/evals, and structured outputs.
  • Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or custom runtimes.
  • Experience implementing streaming responses with SSE, WebSockets, or chunked HTTP and building interfaces for progressive and uncertain outputs.
  • Strong product and user-experience intuition and experience collaborating with AI/ML engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Preferred experience in compliance, security, GRC, or document-heavy enterprise domains.
  • Preferred experience with MCP or similar tool-use interfaces, RAG system design and retrieval-quality debugging, and feedback or annotation tooling for AI output quality.
