$206k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex product features and enterprise solutions.
Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end from requirements discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Design and evolve scalable, resilient, secure, and observable microservices and enterprise application architectures.
Evaluate technologies, frameworks, cloud services, and architectural patterns and shape the long-term technical direction of the product suite.
Serve as a senior technical advisor to strategic enterprise customers, supporting implementations and resolving complex technical challenges.
Investigate and resolve production issues across application, database, integration, networking, and cloud layers.
Assess customer production infrastructure, capacity, and performance and recommend architecture improvements.
Analyze production data and operational trends to recommend product improvements and roadmap priorities.
Mentor engineers through architecture guidance, design and code reviews, technical coaching, and hands-on problem solving.
Coordinate critical issues across customer and internal engineering, product, and leadership teams.

12+ years of professional software engineering experience leading complex enterprise software initiatives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Expert-level Java and object-oriented programming skills building enterprise-scale applications, services, and APIs.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, APIs, messaging, and complex production environments.
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud computing, cloud-native architecture, scalability, resiliency, security, observability, and infrastructure decisions.
Experience with databases, SQL, data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning, and familiarity with NoSQL data stores.
Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics.
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, scripting, application servers, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure components.
Experience with web services, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing.
Ability to lead complex technical projects, manage multiple high-priority issues, coordinate cross-team resolution, and mentor engineers.
Healthcare domain experience is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with HIPAA and protecting Protected Health Information is preferred.
Experience with WebLogic, IntelliJ, JUnit, or JUnitPerf is a bonus.

Remote US position with full-time, permanent employment.
Work across multiple time zones in a hybrid or remote work environment.
