Base Salary
$190k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build systems for generative AI and agentic flows that can reason, experiment, and deploy changes to the web
- Architect a scalable, observable, and fault-tolerant experiment engine for millions of daily events
- Design and evolve backend infrastructure, serverless AWS systems, and data pipelines
- Define engineering principles and evolve architecture across ingestion and LLM-driven systems
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design documentation
- Collaborate with AI, product, and data science teams to build resilient systems
- Prototype ideas rapidly and take them from concept to production
- Improve performance, security, and reliability while supporting SOC 2 and enterprise growth
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and shipping production systems at scale
- Strong expertise in Python, AWS, and JavaScript, with the ability to own backend and frontend architecture
- Experience designing distributed, event-driven, microservices, or data-heavy systems
- Prior experience as a technical lead or staff engineer, including mentoring, design reviews, and setting engineering standards
- Curiosity about AI and experimentation and a bias toward clear, practical execution
- Experience with ClickHouse, production LLMs, or ecommerce and analytics infrastructure is a bonus
