Responsibilities
- Review requirements and design specifications for test and security coverage.
- Design test cases and security test scenarios.
- Build, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, black-box, and cybersecurity testing across hardware, firmware, and software.
- Execute test runs, analyze results, and produce reports with security findings.
- Identify, track, and validate functional and security defects and their mitigation.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to apply security-by-design principles.
- Support release readiness, go/no-go decisions, cybersecurity risk assessments, test planning, estimation, and scheduling.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, automation scripts, and security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in product or system testing in an R&D environment.
- Hands-on experience testing integrated hardware, firmware, and software systems.
- 3+ years of test automation experience using Python or similar scripting languages and tools such as TestStand or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, performance, and black-box testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity testing fundamentals, including vulnerability scanning, basic penetration testing, secure communication validation using TLS and certificates, and authentication and authorization testing.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools, debugging, root cause analysis, security defect analysis, and mitigation validation.
- Exposure to test planning, estimation, release coordination, secure development lifecycle practices, Agile environments, and global teams.
- Preferred experience with National Instruments TestStand and industrial communication protocols.
