Base Salary
$141k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build shared React and TypeScript components and patterns for use across Mercury interfaces.
- Partner with designers and product engineers to evolve components, design tokens, and implementations across Figma and code.
- Improve accessibility, visual quality, interaction details, testing, and reliability of experiences built with the design system.
- Improve documentation, examples, and workflows that help teams adopt and use shared patterns.
- Use AI coding tools to explore approaches, evaluate generated code, verify results, and contribute effective practices to the team.
Requirements
- Foundation in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with experience building interfaces and explaining implementation decisions.
- Interest in visual craft, accessibility, interaction quality, and how people use software.
- Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools, including providing context, evaluating generated code, improving it, and verifying its behavior.
- Ownership, willingness to learn, communication, and ability to incorporate feedback.
- Curiosity about reusable systems and the tradeoffs of serving different product needs with shared components.
- Experience with design systems, prototyping, or developer tooling is a plus but not required.
- Relevant experience may come from professional work, internships, coursework, open source, or personal projects.

- US base salary range is $140,800–$158,400 USD; Canadian base salary range is $115,700–$149,700 CAD.
