Base Salary
$171k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, ship, and iterate on Uber Eats Home Feed web features using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Own features from technical design and implementation through A/B experimentation, launch, and follow-up iteration.
- Partner with designers, product managers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver polished, data-driven user experiences.
- Improve web performance, accessibility, and reliability, including page load, rendering latency, and observability.
- Write design documentation, conduct code reviews, and maintain high engineering quality.
- Share ownership of team systems through on-call, operations, and maintenance responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or at least two years of full-time software engineering experience.
- At least one year of total technical software engineering experience using a programming language such as JavaScript or TypeScript, modern web frameworks such as React, VueJS, or Angular, HTML, CSS, and web APIs.
- Understanding of modern web application architecture, including rendering strategies, state management, and client-server data flow.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures, including hash tables, trees, stacks, queues, linked lists, DFS, and BFS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred experience with backend systems such as Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Preferred experience with web performance optimization, experimentation and analytics, large-scale consumer products, and AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude.
