Base Salary
$94k - $159k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and implement product functionality, including tools and workflows.
- Translate user requirements into software functionality and user experiences.
- Take ownership of complex features, contributing to design and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with Software Development Engineers to meet product quality standards.
- Design and maintain tests for product reliability and maintainability.
- Participate in sprint planning and feature reviews to shape project scope.
- Respond to complex technical issues, contributing to their resolution.
- Share knowledge and mentor other product engineers.
- Coordinate project timelines and dependencies for assigned features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Experience in Product Engineering with the ability to contribute across subsystems.
- Strong experience delivering production-grade software in complex environments.
- Ability to apply customer feedback to improve software design.
- Proven ability to apply GIS concepts to real-world problems.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams.
- Ability to independently plan and deliver complex work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience contributing to documentation and guidance on GIS best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
