Base Salary
$218k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the full identity-verification ML stack from feature pipelines and model evaluation through threshold tuning and production enforcement.
- Build document, biometric, liveness, deepfake, identity-graph, behavioral, and device-intelligence models for fraud and account-integrity detection.
- Develop GNN-based systems to identify synthetic-identity rings and coordinated fraud using biometric, device, and document signals.
- Create vendor benchmarking, dynamic routing, and in-house evaluation systems to detect model regressions before production release.
- Lead technical strategy and cross-team ML architecture while partnering with ML Platform and Risk ML teams.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and communicate ML trade-offs to Product, Compliance, Risk, and Security stakeholders.
- Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience deploying production ML systems at scale.
- Proven technical leadership owning cross-team ML architecture from design through production.
- Identity verification, biometrics, or account-integrity experience with applied ML expertise in at least two of computer vision/biometrics, GNNs, sequence models, or NLP/LLMs.
- Expert-level Python and production experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, including model training, evaluation, and serving infrastructure.
- Experience translating KYC/AML requirements and fraud trends into ML roadmaps.
- Ability to communicate trade-offs to Product, Compliance, Risk, and Security stakeholders.
