Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance routing and switching software for Linux-based networking systems.
- Develop and enable software on next-generation embedded networking hardware platforms.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed designs and high-quality implementations.
- Develop functional and design specifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Hardware, QA, and Product management teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily in C.
- Strong background in networking protocols, including control-plane and/or data-plane implementations for switches or routers.
- Experience with Linux kernel development, with emphasis on networking subsystems preferred.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, L2/L3 networking concepts, and related technologies.
- Experience developing or integrating physical layer (PHY) drivers is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with Broadcom SDKs and networking ASICs.
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub for source control and collaboration.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation is highly desirable.
