Responsibilities
- Define, communicate, and enforce technical and engineering standards across multiple delivery PODs.
- Define and evolve system architecture aligned with mission requirements, security standards, and enterprise objectives.
- Provide technical leadership for solution design, technology selection, engineering practices, and technical quality across cross-functional teams.
- Establish development frameworks and reusable engineering patterns to improve technical excellence and efficiency.
- Review technical outputs for quality, performance, security, and compliance.
- Translate business and mission requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions with product managers, agile leads, and stakeholders.
- Mentor engineering talent and foster continuous improvement, technical innovation, and knowledge sharing.
- Assess and mitigate technical risks and resolve complex technical challenges across delivery PODs.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in technical leadership, systems engineering, or solution architecture roles.
- Experience defining system architecture and engineering standards for complex, mission-critical systems.
- Experience ensuring technical quality, process consistency, and successful delivery across multiple development teams or PODs.
- Strong knowledge of secure software development, data engineering, and systems integration in federal or Department of Defense environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master's degree, Joint Staff or CDAO experience, expertise in cloud architectures, DevSecOps, data platforms, and AI/ML solution delivery, and familiarity with DoD technical standards, CMMC, RMF, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Advanced certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or CISSP are desired.
