Base Salary
$170k - $323k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, development, and delivery of major cross-department software initiatives.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders on opportunity assessment, business cases, costs, risks, benefits, estimates, and strategic decisions.
- Perform proofs of concept, recommend technologies, and create technical roadmaps aligned with department strategy.
- Lead implementation of processes and supporting tools, define and manage project scope, and plan project phases and iterations.
- Define and lead quality assurance and quality control processes, quality metrics, standards, and incident-free deployment practices.
- Guide teams on processes, documentation, standards, and solution-development lifecycle artifacts.
- Ensure compliance requirements are integrated into the software development lifecycle and represent the team during compliance audits.
- Coach and mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing on technologies, methodologies, and application frameworks.
- Lead and influence matrix-based, geographically distributed teams and manage vendor relationships and selection activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Superior coding background with Java/Spring or Python.
- Experience with AWS and Databricks or Snowflake.
- Expertise in software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Proven experience selecting and implementing methodologies, including Lean methodology, and delivering high-efficiency solutions.
- Experience leading and influencing matrix-based project teams without direct authority.
- Experience with vendor relationship management, vendor selection, RFI/RFP processes, and statements of work is highly desired.
- Experience in an operations environment is highly desirable.
- Experience delivering secure solutions in the financial services sector is preferred.
- Experience using AI to assist in shaping or designing applications and understanding associated risks.
- Strong communication, leadership, relationship-building, persuasion, data formulation, metrics, and dashboard-reporting abilities.
- Ability to organize and control several concurrent initiatives with conflicting needs and work effectively under pressure.
