Responsibilities
- Design, code, and enhance custom software components and applications.
- Administer Teradata environments, including database management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery.
- Monitor and optimize system resources to maintain high availability and performance.
- Apply security best practices and compliance requirements for database administration.
- Use scripting and automation to streamline routine administrative tasks.
- Serve as an SME, make team decisions, and provide solutions across multiple teams.
- Lead process improvements, mentor junior team members, and coordinate cross-functional communication.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience in Teradata Administration.
- Proficiency in Teradata Administration, including database management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies, system monitoring, resource optimization, and database availability.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements related to database administration.
- Skill in scripting and automation.
- 15 years of full-time education.
