Base Salary
$159k - $159k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business problems and recommend innovative software solutions.
- Own large software systems and business initiatives as a subject matter expert.
- Lead software engineering design reviews and assess feasibility within time and cost constraints.
- Write extensible software frameworks and translate business requirements into software solutions.
- Lead architectural design and technical planning for major platforms and features, including payment systems.
- Create technical specifications, select technologies, and define end-to-end system architecture for mission-critical payment solutions.
- Develop production-level payment software using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
- Build complex features and implement third-party integrations such as Stripe and TriPOS.
- Develop and manage systems on GCP and AWS.
- Perform peer code reviews, improve code quality, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers on technical solutions.
- Investigate and resolve complex payment discrepancies and production issues.
- Manage system health on GCP and write code to patch critical issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- One year of post-baccalaureate experience as a software engineer in the finance field or a related position.
- Experience with Java, Hibernate, Spring, Apache Struts, full-stack development, Oracle database, high-volume transaction processing, data reporting, and process automation.
