AI Engineer - Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions for enterprise organizations.
- Design agent intelligence, including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
- Own technical components end-to-end from architecture selection through production deployment, validation, and observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, validate pipeline outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs, co-build solutions with customers and partners, and provide enablement.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience and at least one production system to demonstrate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Required prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects while delivering quality code and evaluating AI outputs rigorously.
- Curiosity about emerging AI, data tools, models, and frameworks, with a willingness to experiment and learn.
- Salesforce platform experience or certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I, or Agentforce Specialist is preferred.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, orchestration patterns, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery is preferred.
- Experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments is preferred.
