Responsibilities
- Develop and commercialize the Qualcomm AI Runtime (QAIRT) SDK on Qualcomm SoCs.
- Build and optimize large C/C++ software stacks for GenAI inference.
- Deploy and improve the performance of LLMs, LVMs, and other large models on edge hardware.
- Optimize algorithms for CPU, GPU, and NPU AI hardware accelerators.
- Apply knowledge of GenAI architectures, transformers, attention mechanisms, and KV caching.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test, and globally distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, or the stated alternative engineering, information systems, computer science, or related degree qualifications.
- 6+ years of relevant software development experience, with formal minimum alternatives of 4+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 3+ with a master’s degree, or 2+ with a PhD.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong understanding of generative AI models including LLMs, LVMs, LMMs, self-attention, cross-attention, and KV caching.
- Knowledge of floating-point, fixed-point, and quantization concepts.
- Strong C/C++ programming, design patterns, operating systems, Python scripting, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Preferred qualifications include SIMD processor architecture, system design, object-oriented development, Linux, Windows, SIMD kernel development, llama.cpp, MLX, MLC, PyTorch, TFLite, ONNX Runtime, OpenCL, CUDA, and parallel computing.
