Base Salary

$130k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, electrical, performance, and power validation for audio IP cores, DSPs, audio interfaces, codecs, and low-power AI/ML accelerators.
  • Develop, implement, and execute block-level and full subsystem/SoC test and validation plans.
  • Use audio generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, probes, and related lab equipment to validate silicon.
  • Develop firmware, drivers, procedures, and test automation to improve validation efficiency.
  • Test and debug ASIC platforms and FPGA prototyping/emulation systems.
  • Collaborate with digital, mixed-signal, hardware architecture, verification, and software/firmware teams to isolate and resolve issues.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate performance specifications and requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of embedded firmware development, C, firmware, silicon validation, or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant ASIC experience, or a master's degree plus 3+ years, or a PhD plus 2+ years.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills in C, assembly, Python, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of embedded system design, including CPUs, bus architectures, caches, interconnects, and clocks.
  • Experience with real-time embedded operating systems, embedded environments, low-level CPU or DSP programming, and board/platform debugging.
  • Experience with lab equipment, JTAG, ARM-compliant debuggers, on-chip interconnects, and low-level hardware/software debugging.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, raw analog/digital audio formats, and source control systems such as Perforce or Git.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
