Base Salary
$130k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform ASIC silicon bring-up and validation of audio IP cores, DSPs, audio interfaces, and low-power AI/ML accelerators.
- Develop and execute block-level and full subsystem/SoC functional test and validation plans.
- Use audio generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, probes, and related lab equipment for validation.
- Develop firmware, drivers, procedures, and test automation to improve validation efficiency.
- Test and debug systems on ASIC platforms and FPGA prototyping or emulation systems.
- Collaborate with digital, mixed-signal, verification, architecture, hardware, and software/firmware teams to isolate and resolve issues.
- Collect, analyze, and validate performance specifications and requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of embedded firmware development, C, firmware, silicon validation, or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree plus 3+ years; or a PhD plus 2+ years.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in C, assembly, Python, or similar languages.
- Understanding of embedded system design, CPU and DSP programming, bus architectures, caches, interconnects, and clocks.
- Experience with real-time embedded operating systems, embedded environments, board/platform debug, and low-level hardware/software debugging.
- Experience with JTAG, ARM-compliant debuggers, ARM AHB, AXI, APB, or similar on-chip interconnects.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, raw analog/digital audio formats, and audio properties.
- Experience with Perforce or Git and proficiency with laboratory validation equipment.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
