Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day engineering operations and delivery for the Core Engineering full-stack team.
- Drive architecture decisions across front-end and back-end systems.
- Own and evolve the product design system for consistency, reuse, and quality.
- Lead modernization efforts across core platform infrastructure and established codebases.
- Provide hands-on solutions to complex full-stack technical challenges.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of reliable, performant APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders on roadmaps, delivery commitments, and resource planning.
- Mentor engineers through coaching, pair programming, and code reviews.
- Identify, prioritize, and address technical debt during sprint and quarterly planning.
- Promote AI-driven development practices and tooling to improve engineering productivity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in full-stack or combined front-end and back-end software development.
- 2+ years of experience leading a software development team as a Tech Lead or in a similar leadership capacity.
- Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and design systems.
- Experience modernizing large, established full-stack codebases.
- Experience with object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, risk mitigation, SaaS product roadmaps, project planning, and execution.
- Hands-on experience in Agile development environments and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with Backbone.js, Dropwizard or Spring Boot, Java, SQL and NoSQL databases, Microsoft Azure or AWS, and front-end testing frameworks such as Playwright.
- Storybook and Selenium experience is a plus.
