Base Salary
$164k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the direction and initiatives for the Developer Productivity team and platform.
- Build automated bootstrapping, development, testing, and delivery pipelines.
- Advance self-service engineering tools and improve the local development experience.
- Build self-healing infrastructure that supports fast and reliable automated testing.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and release processes of existing systems.
- Streamline microservice creation, reproducible builds, versioning strategies, and developer environments.
- Drive adoption through brown-bag sessions and demos.
- Coach and mentor engineers and collaborate on technical designs.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of engineering experience.
- B.S. degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience building CI/CD infrastructure with multiple pipeline solutions such as Tekton, Prow, CircleCI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience improving software development lifecycle release processes and large-scale distributed release management.
- Experience streamlining microservice creation and developer local environments.
- Expertise with Git flow and versioning strategies and reproducible builds.
- Experience improving developer experience with multiple stakeholders in a large organization.
- Experience with Golang, Ruby on Rails, Python, or similar languages.
- Working knowledge of AWS services and technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Experience with containerized systems and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with Gerrit, Android OS (AOSP) build systems, and embedded systems builds and compiles.
