Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own highly scalable, robust, fault-tolerant distributed systems and web services.
- Drive the team's technical direction, long-term architecture, roadmaps, and major deliverables.
- Manage the overall software development lifecycle and complex projects with significant business impact.
- Partner with product managers and senior engineers on product strategy, technical design, and new product development.
- Establish software development and documentation best practices and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
- Prioritize and plan projects and features, manage stakeholders, and track external commitments.
- Monitor and operate production services as part of operational excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
