Responsibilities
- Build OS daemons, frameworks, and SDKs that deliver ads across the Apple ecosystem.
- Develop systems that fetch, rank, and filter ad candidates.
- Enforce advertising policy and legal compliance on device.
- Protect user privacy through privacy-by-architecture before partner apps render ads.
- Design and operate high-performance client SDKs or libraries, including caching, versioning, breaking-change management, and feature-flagged rollouts.
- Work with cross-process communication, concurrent programming, on-device business logic, and complex long-lived codebases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of OS fundamentals including process and memory management, scheduling, and file systems.
- Professional software development experience in a C-like language.
- Familiarity with cross-process communication.
- Advanced understanding of multithreading, synchronization, locking, and reasoning about races and deadlocks.
- Experience building and operating high-performance client SDKs or libraries.
- Experience working on complex, long-lived codebases, including legacy components.
- Preferred: ad technology experience and Apple-platform fundamentals, including Swift and Objective-C.
- Preferred: experience designing or maintaining public APIs or SDKs for external developers.
- Preferred: experience with Core Data, libdispatch, XPC, Swift concurrency, daemons, telemetry, observability, and client-server networking.
