Base Salary
$130k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead distributed software engineering teams and external suppliers developing embedded platform software products.
- Own and evolve the ACE product-line roadmap, common assets, architecture, and reuse strategies.
- Drive program execution across schedule, cost, technical scope, risk, and quality commitments.
- Serve as the primary engineering contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight across requirements, design, implementation, verification, validation, and certification.
- Coordinate cross-functional partners and suppliers to ensure execution and delivery performance.
- Report status, metrics, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentor sub-team leads and partner with engineering managers on staffing, technology, reuse, and process strategies.
- Lead continuous improvement, automation, digital engineering, and responsible AI-enabled engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline is required for U.S. candidates.
- U.S. candidates require a minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded real-time systems and software development.
- U.S. candidates require a minimum of 10 years leading software engineering execution across the full development lifecycle.
- Experience managing complex technical projects involving cross-functional and multi-site teams.
- Strong technical leadership experience in embedded software environments and regulated development settings.
- Experience leading technology transformation, process improvement, or digital engineering initiatives.
- Desired qualifications include a related master’s degree, aerospace or safety-critical experience, DO-178B/C certification experience, Product Line Engineering knowledge, global-team leadership, real-time operating-system and multi-core architecture knowledge, ARINC-653/IMA experience, FMC and avionics test software experience, and AI/ML-enabled engineering experience.
