Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize RankEmbed serving and indexing infrastructure serving millions of queries per second at low latency.
- Identify bottlenecks and deploy robust infrastructure solutions.
- Design, implement, and execute rollout plans for components involved in RankEmbed model refreshes.
- Collaborate with SREs and Core teams on best practices for improving ML infrastructure.
- Work with Search clients to understand requirements and define deployment strategies.
- Analyze infrastructure component performance to identify limitations and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Two years of software development experience with C++ or one year of industry experience with an advanced degree.
- Two years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies, working with caffolding, Pod, and Flume, and debugging bottlenecks with profiling tools and optimizing performance.
